Others into the Mystery: Kerygma, Encounter, and Accompaniment, and Community
Kerygma, encounter, accompaniment, and community are key themes in the Vatican's new Directory for Catechesis -- our guidebook for how to hand on the faith. Kerygma is the core message of our faith – our reason for following Christ. Encounter is the necessary step for conversion that puts us on the path towards intentional discipleship. Accompaniment is the way in which we walk with others as they grow in faith. All of this happens in the context of community – the Body of Christ. In this session, we'll reflect on each of these themes and their implications for leading others on the path of discipleship.
