Jayne Ragasa-Mondoy

Jayne Ragasa-Mondoy has served the Diocese of Honolulu as director of Faith Formation and Office of Religious Education since 2005. Prior to her appointment to the diocese, Jayne taught in the Hawaii Catholic Schools and the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for Saint Louis School in Honolulu. Notable under her diocesan leadership are a series of locally-produced and award-winning videos on the sacraments, curriculum guidelines for teaching religion, and guiding catechetical leaders through her diocese’s transition to restored order. She is a national speaker, consultant to the USCCB Subcommittee for Asian and Pacific Island Affairs, and past treasurer and vice-president for the National Conference for Catechetical Leaders (In Word and Witness). Jayne is author of “Cultivating Your Catechists: How to Recruit, Encourage, and Retain Successful Catechists” (Loyola Press, 2017) and “Planning for Restored Order” (Twenty-Third Publications, 2021.) She regularly contributes “The Catechist Journey” blog hosted by Loyola Press.
